  1. When a teacher on staff is set to retire, place a large poster on campus for students to write goodbyes.
  2. Encourage students to be thoughtful, reflective, and to include any/all positive memories they have with teachers on campus.
  3. Once complete, this wall can be given to the departing teacher as a goodbye gift.

  1. Using poster paper and markers, create 2-dimensional paper replicas of athletic jerseys on campus.
  2. Next, place those jerseys around school, encouraging students to write good-luck wishes for their fellow students.
  3. Finally, place those jerseys in the locker room of their respective teams prior to their games.
  4. This will bring a great morale boost to athletes before a big game!

  1. Using post-it notes, markers, and a lot of wall space, construct a compliment wall on campus.
  2. Before opening it to the general public at your school, encourage leaders to write 50 compliments to random students on campus.
  3. The more students see their own compliments, the more likely they will be to pass to positivity onward.

Process
  1. Place a comment box on campus, asking for students to submit anonymous compliments and/or thank-you messages to other students.
  2. After collecting enough submissions, post the notes on a large piece of poster paper for all to see.
  3. This can be done each month and can even stretch online, encouraging students to be more vocal about their appreciation of one another.

  1. Place a large piece of poster paper on a wall on campus with the header “Take One, Leave One”.
  2. Below, place dozens of post-it notes. Half of these notes should have words like “hope”, “kindness”, and “understanding” written on them, while the other half should be left blank for student participation.
  3. As the saying at the top indicates, students can take one post-it note and leave another.
